My Story

My personal journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, filled with twists, trauma and turns that ultimately led to a profound understanding of myself.  My father passed away at a young age and I was the youngest of nine siblings, so my mother and I became dependant on my older brothers. Life threw me into the deep end from a young age and by the age of 10 I had travelled through three continents. As a child I took everything in my stride, not realising that I was constantly thrown into the thick of things. Learning different languages, not being able to make friends or having stability of being in one place, or coping with the loss my father, I grew up feeling like an outsider, yearning for a sense of belonging. This was my journey as I navigated life within a joint family steeped in the complexities of cultural norms as an Indian woman. The pressures seemed like never-ending challenges.

Learning Yoga, breathwork and meditation allowed to me to understand and align my body, mind and soul. Over time I have been learning about Transcendental Meditation (TM), this is a form of silent meditation which was developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The technique to this meditation involves the silent repetition of a mantra or sound given by your TM Teacher. This is practiced for 15–20 minutes twice per day. TM meditation has helped me to delve deeper within. In 2023 I attended The Art of Living Part 1 course. In this course I learnt about Sudarshan Kriya which I found to be a powerful rhythmic breathing technique along with accompanying breathing practices. This breathing technique was so different to anything else I had practiced.  I was able to not only control but alter my emotions, energy and mental clarity. I am always seeking new ways to expand my knowledge so that I can support others in making a positive impact in their life.

My Healing Journey

Throughout my 35-year career as a Civil Servant, working shifts was not always easy with raising a family leading to a burn out. I embraced many challenges, working in both national and international settings, often in unfamiliar stressful situations and challenging roles. I can genuinely understand and empathise with anyone suffering from stress, anxiety or being burnt out. There were times when I have faced many moments of feeling out of control however this is when I discovered the power of self-hypnotherapy to overcome.

In 2016, I embarked on a personal healing journey that led me to explore Vipassana (a ten days silent meditation retreat) that helped me scan areas within that needed healing, which then led to other healing modalities. In 2017 I travelled to India and stayed at an Ashram on the banks of the Ganges, and travelled into the Himalayas. Since ancient times, the Himalayas have been revered as the abode of divinity. I was fortunate to have visited some of the ancient shrines. Meditating at the Himalayan ancient shrines, I learnt about my inner-self, enabling me to put things into a new perspective.

In 2018, I met a stranger, (a friend now) who introduced me to Reiki. Reiki is the most beautiful energy healing. After receiving attunements I started to change from within. I studied Reiki Levels 1 & 2, at Nottingham School of Reiki under the guidance of Stuart Kerry. Reiki helped me to expand my understanding of energy healing.  In 2019 I travelled to Rishikesh (India) and studied Yoga, various breathing techniques and meditation at Sattva Yoga Academy under the guidance of Anand Malhotra.

My Approach

My role is to be your guide, to help you ascertain the root cause of whatever challenge you're facing and try to fix it. My approach involves understanding the root cause of your issues and utilising a combination of techniques including hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

For me, it's not just about sharing techniques; it's about surpassing the norm and strengthening mental resilience through understanding, acceptance, and self-empowerment.

The chances are, you're reading this because you're feeling stuck, fed up, or tired of dealing with a particular issue. Maybe you've already tried various solutions without success. Our behaviour has a pattern (of creating clutter), which we repeat over and over. Here is the good news; by seeking help, you're showing determination and a willingness to make a change.

My personal experiences have shaped my mission. I promise to give you my absolute best in guiding you toward your goals. All I ask in return is that you approach our sessions with an open mind and give it your all. It's that simple. I'll always be honest with you and approach our work without judgment.
